Formal Tertiary Education:
- N.Dip / B-Tech / BSc in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
Languages:
- English – Read, write and speak (required)
- Afrikaans – Read, write and speak (optional)
Driver’s License: Code 8- (required)
Experience:
- 1-2 years Process / Production / Mechanical Design experience in a manufacturing environment (Advantageous)
- MS Office
- AutoCAD/ Autodesk Inventor
Job Objectives:
- Developing, configuring and optimizing industrial processes from inception, through to start up and commissioning.
- The main objectives of this role include optimizing industrial processes for efficiency and quality, minimizing resource consumption, troubleshooting and problem-solving, fostering continuous improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams, reducing operational costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining thorough documentation of process designs and improvements.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Developing, configuring and optimizing industrial processes from inception, through to start up and commissioning as well on on-going continuous improvement consulting.
- Analyse existing machine processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure that machine Safety regulations are adhered to.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement new processes and process changes and improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time

- Detailed cycle time analysis for every assembly process and production line.
- Providing the final process by doing actual runs during the internal testing phases.
- Improving processes where possible for optimal quality and cycle times.
- Performing process simulation.
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
- Liaising with Innovations Engineers to develop best possible production line layouts, with regards to logistic walking times and ergonomic working zones.
- Documenting processes and standardisation information sheets to collect info from the customers.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement new processes and process changes and improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time.
