About Company: Our client is a renowned indigenous Building and Civil Engineering Construction firm with over 20 years in practice and proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, with offices in the southern, Eastern and North-central Nigeria. The Company offers a fully integrated engineering design and construction solutions to both public and private sector clients across Nigeria. Some of its notable projects include but not limited to;- High-end Residential Development- 200 rooms Hotel Development- Office Development & Construction- Factory Development & Construction- Warehouse Construction for multinational FMCG- Construction of Brewing Plant for multinational FMCG- Road Construction for state governments- Canal Earthwork & Pipeline Excavation for governments- Water Plant Construction etc. The Company is seeking to hire a talented and experienced Project Manager to join its team of consultants and oversee the successful execution of construction projects.

Job Summary: This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

§ Plan and manage construction projects, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.§ Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure all project activities are completed on time and according to specifications.§ Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones and goals are achieved.§ Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, reviewing cost estimates, and controlling costs to maximize profitability.§ Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes, ensuring that workmanship and materials meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.§ Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards, as well as company policies and procedures.§ Prepare and present regular project reports and updates to senior management and clients, including progress reports, financial reports, and risk assessments.§ Foster positive relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders to enhance the company’s reputation and promote future business opportunities.

 

Requirements:

§ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.§ 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a§ construction company.§ Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects of varying size and complexity.§ Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team.§ Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.§ Proficiency in understanding and interpretation of architectural drawings and designs.§ Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.§ Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD/Revit, and Microsoft Office suite.§ PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
