YES! Connect

YES! Connect is an online community recruitment platform which aims to connect young candidates from Africa with industry leaders within the energy sector. We network, create jobs and boost employability for all.

YES! Connect was launched in June 2023 at the YES! Summit alongside aef. It is a digital social media and job creation platform allowing Graduates, Early Career Professionals and Entrepreneur’s to engage with one another and share initiatives all year round, whilst being able to apply for jobs from the leading organisations from anywhere on the African continent.

Features include interactive discussions, online workshops, job listings, funding opportunities, industry insights and news. The growth plan for YES! Connect is to achieve 1M+ active users by 2026 with 500+ live job vacancies at any one time.

The Day in the Life of series is a weekly webinar where an individual working within the African energy sector talks about their work, what they have done to get to the position they are in and what a typical day in the life looks like for them. The session is followed by a live Q&A with the audience.

The series is designed to showcase the vast range of jobs available in the energy sector and highlights the fact that you don’t have to be an engineer to embark on a successful career in the sector.

The Learning & Development series is designed to bridge the gap between academia and the energy sector. The series is open for all YES! Connect members to attend and provides a wide range of training courses from leading practitioners focusing on everything from, presenting your CV through and successful interview techniques through to how to structure an energy project and how to write a business plan.
